Air Jordan V (5) “World Cup” Customs by Dezine Dope Customs

air-jordan-v-5-world-cup-customs-by-dezine-dope-customs

The interwebs has been going crazy over news about the Air Jordan VI (6) “World Cup,” many still waiting on a release date. It seems very likely that these shoes will see the light of day, what with the actual FIFA World Cup tenatively scheduled to kick off in mid June. Some people can’t wait for these babies to hit shelves, and artist collective, Dezine Dope Customs, is already hopping on this theme for a new project!

The Air Jordan V (5) “World Cup” customs by Dezine Dope Customs have black suede on the uppers with mint and yellow accents throughout the entire shoe. The accents are what carry these shoes, with yellow speckled all over the shiny black midsole, and decorating the top of the lacing. Mint green highlights the shark teeth ridges on the midsole, and the mudguard that crosses along the rear of the heel. The uppers are kept pretty simple, with the netting on the midfoot panel and tongue arriving in an icy white, which coordinates with the outsole present on the bottom. The Jumpman and branding continue the use of yellow on the heel panel and tongues.

These kicks are pretty dead on when it comes to matching the AJ6 “World Cup” shoes with details, but with the unique design of the Air Jordan V, the colorway is totally transformed. What do you think of these AJ5 “World Cup” customs, by Dezine Dope Customs? Do they rival the rumored AJ6 “World Cup” shoes at all? Hit us up in the comments!

Stussy x CONVERSE JP Skidgrip

Chuck Taylor All Star is the model that probably springs to mind when the name CONVERSE is mentioned. Perhaps it was not an enticing proposition for Stussy to collaborate on the most obvious model in its line-up. Instead, they opted to rework the Skidgrip, a less popular classic model from the CONVERSE archives. Just like the Stussy x Casio G-Shock DW-5600 “Checker” watch we reported earlier, these navy sneakers are accented by checker pattern print on the foxing. Double brand tongue label and footbed print solidifies the collaboration model, packaged in custom cardboard box. Stussy Japan will drop this model from Saturday, May 3 throughout their stores and webshop.

air-jordan-xi-11-multicolor-customs-by-mache-customs

We’re already marching through the spring months, with May just around the corner! Along with spring and summer, comes bold colors. Aiming towards incorporating more colorful tones than with his recent Air Jordan 3lab5 “Black Cement” shoes, Mache Customs looks to set trends this summer with his latest multicolor project!

The Air Jordan XI (11) Multicolor customs by Mache Customs are teal on the top portion of the uppers, with a glossy, color-changing base just beneath. Depending on where you look, you’ll see a wide array of colors that stand out on the lower part of the uppers -something we’ve never seen before. Mache made great use of the iridescent patent leather, and paired the shoes with volt lacing to provide a well-balanced design composition.

We love seeing work from Mache, because he never fails to impress and stretch his artistic abilities of transforming sneakers. How do you like these Air Jordan XI (11) customs? Would you be willing to rush out to retailers to cop a pair of these Mache Customs? Let us know what you’re thinking in the comments section!

Nike Roshe Run “Ole Glory” Customs by AMAC Customs

nike-roshe-run-ole-glory-customs-by-amac-customs

America, the Beautiful — land of the brave, and home of the free! The U.S. is considered to be the melting pot of the world, still attracting roughly 20% of all international immigrants. Citizens coast to coast show a great passion for the freedoms promised in the U.S., and we all have a high appreciation of our unalienable rights, and the freedom we enjoy and fight for everyday. Building upon this great sense of pride in the United States, sneaker artist, AMAC Customs, has crafted a pair of Nike Roshe Runs that don the notorious red, white, and blue colors that represent America.

The Nike Roshe Run “Ole Glory” customs by AMAC Customs are red on the uppers with the stars and stripes of the U.S. flag covering the heel guard and Swoosh. Patriotism is fully embodied in these custom runners with the presence of the American flag billowing across the rear of the shoes, and appearing on the midfoot. A multicolored, marbling effect is applied to the ultra-flexible, white Phylon midsole, which keeps these trainers pretty lightweight for active joggers and runner, alike. But even if you have no intentions of hitting the track anytime soon, the overall design concept of these customs are dope for those looking for some new Spring kicks!

What do you think of these Nike Roshe Run “Ole Glory” customs by AMAC Customs? Are they something you could see yourself, or a friend wearing? Check out some more angles of these, and let us know what you think in the comments, below!
