Jordan Future “Camo” Customs by Alberto Lou

jordan-future-camo-customs-by-alberto-louAlberto Lou is hitting us up with a second pair of customs today, following his Air Jordan Jumpman Pro “Call of Duty” project.

The Jordan Future “Camo” customs feature the title graphic print all over the usually stark white midsoles. The flexible, one panel upper of the Jordan Future “Black” retains its original color and fabrication, while the midsoles get a little spiffy with a custom paint job, a la Alberto. A tan-based camouflage print drapes itself over the clean, white midsoles, and spots of brown makes appearances throughout them. The outsoles are kept in their black tone, creating a sandwiching aesthetic for the camo present in the shoes.

Simple custom job, but the camouflage completely alters the look of these shoes. The painted camo print makes the original kicks a bit boring, in comparison. The camo print was all done by Alberto Lou, himself. If you’d like to get this treatment done for your Jordan Futures, send Lou a message and get started on your JB Future customs today!

Converse CONS Weapon Summer 2014 Collection

converse cons weapon summer 2014 collection 1 Converse CONS Weapon Summer 2014 Collection

So far what we’ve seen for the Converse Weapon collection from their CONS wing in 2014 has pulled the silhouette pretty far away from its original build. There have been heathered pairs, short cut skate versions, and more, but don’t worry – a more traditional run of pairs is also in the mix. Gathered here are those, which are all leather as far as the uppers are concerned and each come in a pretty bold color mixture. See our photos on the Converse CONS Weapon Summer 2014 collection and watch for them to show up at Converse spots throughout the summer.

Nike Air Huarache “Black Cement” Customs by Retro J’s Restoration

nike-air-huarache-black-cement-customs-by-retro-js-restoration-2Jordan Brand is known for some of its design staples, like their famous Jumpman logo or the elephant print that they seem to have trademarked. Today, we’re getting a look at a new pair of kicks that plays on the elephant print design, in the form of Nike Air Huarache shoes. Created by Retro J’s Restoration, this next project was specifically inspired by the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement.”

The Nike Air Huarache are mostly covered in black, with red accents and a grey elephant print placed on the toe caps. These customs are simply designed, but that elephant print toe cap is dope! RJR translated the colorway of the original AJ3 “Black Cement,” transferring each design component to the Nike Air Huarache. The leather panels arrive in a matte black, along with black mesh toe boxes. Just as the AJ3, red lines the interior, and the black on grey, elephant print graphics adorn the toe caps. A white midsole completes these pair of customs from RJR.

These pair of customs are pretty cool, and has us thinking “What if an entire collection of Air Huaraches featured JB design elements?” It would be a cool concept, and if we ever see it, we’ll be sure to thank Retro J’s Restoration. Get a closer look down below, and stick with Sneakerfiles for more sneaker news!

Undercover Striped Slip-Ons For Spring/Summer 2014

undercover-2014-spring-summer-striped-slip-on-shoes-02-1024x641

Can someone say Beetlejuice three times? Jun Takahashi, founder of Undercover sure did. As part of his collection for Spring/Summer 2014, he features these slip-ons that for some reason remind me of the emo era as well, I mean we all knew it was all about black mixed with red or white right? And you would get extra brownie points if the colors came in a checkered belt. Thank god we all left that phase behind in the 2000’s along with Britney Spears and the Von Dutch trucker caps (admit it, you owned at least 2!) but my love for black and white never went away so I just make myself feel better thinking that I love minim al colors and the classiness of Chanel. If you are like me or you are just looking for the perfect shoes that will look good with half of your wardrobe for this summer then head over to SSENSE and get a pair for 5 USD.

Nike Free OG “Tokyo” City Pack

tokyo nike free Nike Free OG Tokyo City Pack

What would a “City Pack” of Nike Sportswear sneakers be without Tokyo getting an entry? All we know about so far for such a shoe is this pair of the Nike Free OG, which follows the formula of planting both the name of the city and the country on the tongue – although the city is presented here in Japanese while the “Japan” script sticks to English. How do these rank against the myriad other “City Pack” joints from the likes of Paris, NYC, and Rio? Let us know after you see some extra imagery for the Nike Free OG “Tokyo” City Pack and stay with Sneaker News to find out when and where to purchase.

Jordan Future Dark Concord Customs by Zadeh Kicks

jordan-future-dark-concord-customs-by-zadeh-kicksHe blew us away with his “Space Jams” version of the Jordan Future “Volt,” and now Zadeh Kicks is returning with a similar project for the “Dark Concord” colorway!

The Jordan Future Dark Concord customs by Zadeh Kicks have been revamped and are entirely purple, and feature white speckles on the midsoles. Just as he did with the Jordan Future “Volt,” Zadeh colored the midsoles to create a monochromatic sneaker. To spice things up, he sprinkled contrasting, white speckles all over the midsoles. The rest of the shoes remain as they originally were, with minimal white branding present just above the lacing.

This idea is simple, yet so effective. The thought of an entirely purple shoe might sound a bit overwhelming, but leave to Zadeh Kicks to pull it off! If you want this custom job, head over to the Zadeh Kicks online shop and place an order today!
