BRONX NEWS: Cops seek green-haired bandit, sidekick who stole woman’s phone

Cops want the public’s help tracking down two women — one with dyed green hair  — they say snatched a cellphone from a woman on a Bronx subway train.

Police released a photo of the suspect with green hair Wednesday and are asking the public’s help identifying her and her alleged accomplice.

The crooks snuck up on the 26-year-old victim on an uptown 5 train as it approached the Third Ave/E. 149th St. station just after 9 a.m. on March 31. They reached into her bag, grabbed her iPhone and ran off the train when it pulled into the station, cops said.

The green-haired suspect is described as Hispanic, about 18, and 5-foot-3. She was wearing light blue jeans and a light blue puffy jacket.

Career criminal struggled to recall murder because he was stoned

The other suspect is described as black, about 18, 5-foot-4. She was wearing a black and red puffy short jacket, white sneakers and black sweatpants.

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
