BRONX NEWS: Driver runs mom, teen off Bronx road in deadly crash

A woman was killed when she was thrown from her car on a Bronx highway late Saturday — and her teenage daughter witnessed it, police said.

Michelle Muccio, 44, was driving south on the New England Thruway near Bartow Ave. in Baychester when a motorist cut in front of her about 11:30 p.m., according to cops.

The sudden lane change caused Muccio to lose control of her 2004 GMC Envoy and careen into a highway embankment, flipping the SUV and ejecting her from the vehicle, authorities said.

First responders found the Bronx mother dead in the roadway with her car rolled onto its side.

Medics rushed her 16-year-old daughter, who was riding in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition, officials said.

Police have not made any arrests.
