BRONX NEWS: Man arrested for slashing 19-year-old in the face on Bronx bus

A Brooklyn man who repeatedly slashed a stranger’s face during a heated argument on a Bronx bus has been arrested on assault charges.

Police caught up with Demitrius Lindsay, 29, charging him in the Friday afternoon slashing, cops said early Tuesday.

Lindsay, his 28-year-old girlfriend and the 19-year-old victim argued on a BX4 bus on Westchester Ave. near Pugsley St. in Parkchester at about 3:15 p.m., cops said.

Their argument escalated, and after his girlfriend punched the teen in the head, Lindsay reached into his waistband and pulled out a razor, cops said.

Police also arrested his girlfriend, Melissa Plaza, 28, of the Bronx, charging her with assault.

“APPREHENDED!! Thank you to ALL for the RT’s & tips. This individual has been taken into custody,” the NYOD’s 43rd Precinct tweeted Monday.

Lindsay remains held on ,000 cash bail or ,000 bond.
