adidas Consortium began the Sneaker Exchange as a way of bringing together two retailers, tasked with collaborating on a project that overcomes both geographic and aesthetic differences. The latest releases sees NYC-based Kith teaming up with Copenhagen’s Naked, a premier retailers of women’s sneakers and sportswear. Their joint venture takes the form of the a new sock-like silhouette, the adidas NMD CS2. Resting on a white BOOST sole unit, the slip-on midtop ditches traditional lacing to showcase the texture on the Primeknit upper, inspired by high resolution imagery of powder paints colliding and exploding, one in a predominately pink shade, the other in sandstone. Common details include three stripes running from the top of the tongue to the tip of the toe, while an elasticated and asymmetric top-line provides a secure fit and delivers a clean and modern aesthetic. Co-branded heel loops
and leather insoles finish the look.
