The Air Jordan 3 Heads to the Links

2018 is the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 3, and Nike is celebrating the milestone by re-engineering the silhouette for the golf course. The iconic sneaker is retooled with a full-length Lunarlon midsole for superior comfort and stability, along with a TPU outsole for enhanced traction on the green. Otherwise, the original elements of the shoe, first introduced in 1988, have remained intact, including the elephant-print paneling and Jumpman logo on the tongue. The shoe, available in a white tumbled-leather edition and a premium version featuring black leather with bronze metal accents, drops February 16th at nike.com and select retailers.

The Nike Roshe Gets Retooled for the Golf Course

Upon its launch in 2012, Nike’s Roshe would quickly go onto become a fan favorite, thanks to its simple, straightforward looks and comfortable, breathable fit. Six years later, the lifestyle sneaker is getting a sport-specific overhaul, good news for golfers who could previously only wear the Roshe on the street. Nike’s new Roshe G is made for the links, featuring a pressure-mapped outsole offering increased durability and traction in key zones. The upper has also been updated, with the mesh construction wrapped in a synthetic overlay, integrated with the laces for a locked-down feel.
Best of all, the shoe is wearable off-course, in step with a key appeal of the Roshe silhouette — its supreme versatility. Look for the Roshe G to launch tomorrow, February 1st, at nike.com and select retailers. The shoe will be available in men’s, women’s and youth sizes.

Reebok Taps Publish Brand to Rework the Classic Leather and Club C Ultraknit

Reebok has joined forces once with Publish Brand to deliver a unique twist on the Classic Leather and Club C Ultraknit silhouettes. Entitled “Now /
Never / Forever,” the collaboration is intended “to break gender
conformity and unite communities of all kinds,” featuring unisex sizing that caters to all walks of life,
backgrounds, and experiences. The project’s progressive spirit is embodied in the high-density white text that runs along the side of the black Club C Ultraknit: “Today for Tomorrow / Morning til
Night / Decompress and Relax / Let It Speak To You / Now / Never / Forever.” The verbiage
repeats on the laces to as a nod to the power of perseverance. Its Classic
Leather counterpart features a white leather upper, navy heel tab, and three hues of
pink layered on the foam midsole. The shoe’s forefoot and insole is printed with a shortened version of the high-density text, “Publish – Today for Tomorrow: Now / Never /

Upcoming NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Originals Collaboration Features Four Silhouettes

Next month sees adidas Originals joining forces with Japanese streetwear heavyweight NEIGHBORHOOD on a four-piece footwear collection, with each silhouette dressed in a simple black and white color scheme. The individual models take the form of the NMD R1 PK, the Chop Shop, the I-5923, and the Gazelle Super. The entire pack is marked with dual adidas and NBHD branding, as well as lightweight Primeknit uppers and blacked-out BOOST midsoles. adidas Originals’ New Crazy BYW Features Modular BOOST Cushioning

This month sees adidas reviving the the Crazy silhouette through the introduction of an all new model dubbed the Crazy BYW. Reimagined for a new generation, the shoe sports a 3-part podular midsole with BOOST cushioning. Each pod operates separately, allowing the sole to bend and flex with the natural movement of the wearer’s foot. As for the upper, the knit construction is both breathable and lightweight, while the distinctive lacing system maintains a connection with the shoe’s ’90s roots. Launching in this introductory black and white colorway, the Crazy BYW is priced at 0 and will be available in limited quantities beginning January 27th at adidas.com and select retailers in the United States. A global launch follows on February 15th.

Nike Reveals Team USA’s Metal Stand Apparel for 2018 Winter Olympics

Nike has officially unveiled what Team USA athletes will wear on the medal stand at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. The men’s collection showcased here is almost identical to the women’s version. It features the Summit Jacket System, comprising the lightweight Gore-Tex Team USA Hypershield Summit Jacket and removable Team USA Insulated Summit Jacket; the Team USA Pant, featuring a waist cinch, ankle zips and DWR coating; the NSW Gaiter Boot with FlyEase entry; and the Medal Stand Glove with Nike AeroShield technology. 

The good thing is, even if you aren’t an Olympic medalist, you can still look like one: Nike’s Team USA Medal Stand Collection will be available for purchase beginning January 15th through nike.com and select retailers.

Stash and More Provide Murals for the NYC Garage at Nike’s World Headquarters

When Nike announced the expansion of the company’s world headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, the plans included the construction of the NYC Garage. The structure houses a total of six parking levels, each celebrating one of New York City’s professional sports franchises, as well as a massive central courtyard built with basketball, futsal and handball courts. On the design front, the building is adorned with 17 murals, created by an international roster of artists from 10 different countries. The murals celebrate New York City’s vast sport culture while representing a variety of different styles. Each of the 17 artists — Stash, SP One, CHINO BYI, FAUST, Grotesk, Felipe Pantone, GOREY, DAIM, Tones One, Gary Stranger, Yoon Hyup, SPETO, Claw Money, Nardstar*, Paola Delfin, Hueman and Ashley Montagu — take inspiration from hip hop and street basketball, while highlighting the global reach of graffiti, one of New York’s great cultural exports. adidas Originals Kicks Off the New Year With “Epochal” Colorways of the Marathon TR OG

Introduced back in 1979, adidas Originals’ Marthaon TR was one of the last silhouettes to be developed with personal oversight from Adi Dassler himself. The shoe was made for trail runners, updating the popular Marathon runner with a new high-traction outsole. Next month, the Three Stripes revives the Marathon TR in its OG form, finished in dual nostalgic colorways under the banner of the “Epochal Pack.” Each pair is built with a classic mesh construction with structural suede overlays, mounted on an EVA midsole marked with the Marathon’s distinctive mesh texture. Metallic nubuck on the heel patch and signature 3-stripes complete the look. The Marathon TR OG in Royal Blue and Base Green hits stores on January 9th.

Kendrick Lamar’s Nike Cortez Drops on Grammy Night

Nike has disclosed the official release date for Kendrick Lamar’s Cortez collaboration: January 28th, aka Grammy night. Not only will fans be able to purchase the Compton rapper’s first shoe for the Swoosh, but shortly afterward they’ll be celebrating as Kendrick undoubtedly wins hardware for DAMN., an album that’s garnered seven nominations. Nike has revealed the accompanying teaser image — which appears to differ from the shoe that Kendrick revealed on Instagram a week ago — and we’ll have to wait for the full reveal of the shoe, set to launch January 28th through Nike SNKRS at 7:30 pm EST.

Made in Japan, the beloved retro model is done up with a rich brown suede upper, accented with contrasting hits of black on the form stripe, midsole and laces. Rounding out the details is PUMA Clyde branding inscribed in gold foil on the quarter panel, as well as a “MADE IN JAPAN” badge on the interior of the tongue. Odell Beckham Jr.’s Nike SF AF-1 Mid Drops on Black Friday

Nike is set to launch a Special Field Air Force-1 Mid inspired by New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. The eye-catching yellow colorway pays homage to a fixture on the streets of OBJ’s adopted city, the omnipresent yellow cab. Personal details include woven tongue labels printed with the “OBJ” word mark, and one ankle strap inscribed with the longitude and latitude of his birth city, Baton Rouge, while the other details the markers for his home field, Metlife Stadium. You’ll also find nods to his social media bio, position and jersey number.
