adidas Originals ZX 789 – Black/Grey/Electric

The adidas Originals line continues to churn out training shoes for this Spring/Summer sneaker season. After showing you an aluminum/lime green pair of the adidas Originals ZX 800, we have a look at another running silhouette. Pictured here is the adidas Originals ZX 789 in a black/grey upper with select electric yellow accents throughout. The shoe consists of leather and mesh materials, while the adidas three stripes comes filled in with speckles. These are beginning to hit adidas Originals carriers now.

adidas Originals ZX 789 Running White/Orange

The worst of winter weather looks to be past us; time to get out the white kicks. adidas Originals is helping the cause with its latest runner drop, this ZX 789. Rocking a Running White mesh quarter panel and leather base, this sneaker also features a healthy amount of Aluminum textured suede. The midsole, which features Torsion technology, is the same hue. What really makes this sneaker stand out for spring though is its orange accents and plastic heel cup. Finally, filling out the three stripes on the side is the same print seen on the Medium Lead/Electric pair that release early this week. You can scoop this runner now at Nice Kicks and Shop.NiceKicks.com.

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid – Black – White – April 2011

For as long as we’ve known a Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid was on the way, we’ve been waiting for the above pictured colorway. Nearly an entire year of teasers and previews later, the higher cut Janoksi Mid is finally (almost) ready for retail. These joints are crafted in black suede for the best boardfeel, a sense of skateboard-as-second-nature deepened by the vulcanized rubber sole. But there’s also Zoom Air cushioning in the sockliner, so just like hybridizing a boat shoe to use for skating purposes, the Zoom + vulc combo is the best of all possible worlds. Click through to see more and grab a pre-order in advance of the April 2011 shipdate, courtesy of Active.

NBA Feet: Kicks From Around The League – 2/16/11

NBA All-Star Weekend is about to kick off, but before we turn our attention to the Staples Center (where all the festivities will be held), let’s take a look at the NBA action from last night’s games. The Cleveland Cavaliers avenged their embarrassing loss to the Lakers by beating the defending champions at Home, while Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat took a trip to Bosh’s former team in Toronto. Dwyane Wade, who has been wearing the Air Jordan 2011 recently, momentarily switched to the Air Jordan 2010 during the game. LeBron James wore the LeBron 8 V2 ‘Cool Grey’, leaving the V1 behind for good, but his teammate Mike Miller as well as other NBAers around the league such as Nate Robinson and Eric Bledsoe wore the LeBron 8 V1. Other notable sneakers included Andray Blatche’s Zoom Kobe V iD, J.J. Hickson’s Cranberry 1/2 Cent, Gilbert Arenas in the Air Flight Falcon, and another Shox BB Pro sighting – this time a sweet PE on the feet of Knicks center Timofey Mozgov. Check out the rest of the NBA action below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for some great All-Star Game Feet coverage this weekend. via ESPN.

Nike Zoom KD III “EA Sports” Release Date

In a surprise move by Nike, the sneaker we once thought was to be scrapped and left as only a sample, the Zoom KD III “EA Sports,” will release. However, notice is very short. This special edition sneaker was designed in honor of Kevin Durant gracing the cover of EA Sports NBA Elite ’11. Unfortunately for gamers and for KD, the game was scrapped and never released. That also meant this sneaker was to be scrapped, or so we thought. Nike and EA have decided to drop this shoe in very limited fashion at only one Nike Store in the country.
As for the shoe, the quarter panel and forefoot show off a pixelated print, as do the tongue and backing to the translucent outsole. The texture navy upper is actually 3M and brilliantly glows in low light or a camera’s flash. Orange and yellow accents are used throughout. The Nike Store in Santa Monica is the only account releasing this shoe, and you can find out the very specific method by which to grab a pair below. From Nike:
***You may line up a half hour before noon for wristband distribution. This will be strictly enforced and anyone lining up before 11:30am will be asked to leave***
Those with wristbands can come back to attempt to buy a pair when they are released at 8pm. We ask that everyone with a wristband line up 30 minutes prior to 8:00 PM on Thursday night so that we can organize the line numerically – we will start selling at 8:00 PM.
ONE wristband per person.
Wristbands DO NOT guarantee a pair of shoes or guarantee a size – wristbands ONLY guarantee your spot in line for this launch on Friday.
ONE pair per person may be purchased.
