Bring ‘em Back: Nike Air Baja

The Nike Air Baja 341 brought basketball to the beach, offering a convertible kick that’s still unmatched. A rugged rubber outsole was tough enough for the hottest of blacktops, while a removable inner bootie transformed the street savvy hoop shoe to a summer ready sandal. Let’s face it, most retro releases are interchangeable these days, offering the same wearability, nostalgia and color palette as their countless contemporaries. The Nike Air Baja was interchangeable itself. Fly, funky and most of all functional, this Nick Young favorite is do for a re-release. Hey Nike, bring ‘em back!

It’s got the same pixelated graphic as the Foamposites, but with a gradient outsole and a clear Swoosh for a truly unique AF1 experience. A release date hasn’t been confirmed yet either, but who cares? Cop them right now from ny_5thavenue on eBay.

What may not be for everyone, we give the Air Jordan XI (11) “Phillies” custom a thumbs up! Check out more below and hit up Noldo Customs for all custom inquiries.

Rasheed Wallace will be hanging up his Uptowns for good this time around-we’d imagine this most recent exit from the league will be his swan song. Of course he’s entering back in as an assistant coach for the Detroit Pistons, so maybe he can impart some footwear wisdom to his acolytes out in the Motor City. Shown is a leftover from his brief days as a New York Knick, a Nike Air Force 1 High of the CMFT variety with no shortage of personal touches. Take a full look at the sneakers just after the jump and then grab the not-yet-released pair for yourself now courtesy of abckicks on eBay.
