The date "11-9-01" appears at bottom left of photo, as on several of these unattributed photos of The Rocks in the PhM collection and the State Records NSW photostream.
11 September 1901 was a Wednesday. Coincidently exactly 100 years before 9/11 2001. You are right, GingerALee, that life was so much simpler and relaxed.
