NEXUSVII x George Cox 2012 Fall Officer Shoes
Following the introduction of their collaborative Officer Shoes in January, Japan’s NEXUSVII and UK shoemaker George Cox have joined forces again for a collection due to hit retail later this year. Coming in navy and beige colorways this time around, the silhouette features a predominately suede upper paired with a leather toe cap, perorated star detailing, air cushioning and welt construction. Capped off with contrasting white laces, the NEXUSVII x George Cox 2012 Fall Officer Shoes will be available at select retailers for ¥38,640 JPY (approximately $ 483 USD).

Supra Owen – May 2012 Colorways
The Supra Owen is the Crown brand’s first running sneaker, a departure for this brand that’d heretofore focused its energies on the skateboarding scene. It’s a risk that’s paying dividends as sneakerheads and casual buyers alike come to recognize the potential for lightweight and breezy summer comfort coming from this ‘unlikely’ source at a wholly reasonable price point. The Owen is back for summer with two new colorways, one a ‘Sport Blue’-inspired answer to March’s OG Air Max 1-inspired release, the other closer to the kinds of styles we saw in 2010′s Air Attack Pack thanks to the subtle use of purple accents on an otherwise black base. adidas Originals ZX 8000 – July 2012
The Consortium backed ‘Your Story’ collection from adidas Originals is prepared to some drop some strong retro models from the Three Stripes for its devotees, but that capsule isn’t the be all end all to adidas’ classic models. One of their fan favorite running silhouettes, the adidas Originals ZX 8000, is set to pick up some of the slack this summer with the two pairs pictured here. It’s hard to take a look at the red, white, and black pair and not have company man Derrick Rose come to mind, meanwhile the blue and orange is a bit harder to pin down in terms of inspiration. Supra Vaider ‘Ash’ – Summer 2012
Though given the same name as their new Vintage Cuttler, Supra introduces a new colorway of their Vaider sneaker – dubbed the “Ash.” Instead of using the Burnt Orange that was previously associated with the colorway, the Vaider is done in Blue and White. Perforated leather covers the White upper, with Blue seen on the tongue, eyelets and heel tab. Check for these now world wide at Supra retailers and online. via: SF
Etnies – Winter 2012 // First Look
It’s been awhile since we’ve seen anything exciting from Etnies, and this season we’ll leave it up to you to decide. With their Spring Collection gracing the shelves of skate shops nationwide, the brand gives us a thorough look at what we can expect to see once the weather changes again.
With it being Winter, the boot-style Waysayer LX is brought back, as well as some of our favorite silhouettes – such as the Chaplin, Number Mid, Jameson 2 and Sheckler 6. Coming in a variety of colorways, you can expect to see the dope features that Etnies is known for, like the dual density RVA midsole and 400 NBS rubber outsole. Gourmet Footwear – Fall 2012 Preview
Last week the Spotted Pig hosted Gourmet Footwear’s preview event, showcasing some of the latest designs from the innovative line. Revamping some of our old favorites – such as the Quattro Skate S, The Dieci 2 SN, and The 21, Gourmet adds subtle details to the already dope colorways.
Aside from the classic silhouettes, Gourmet introduced a new member to their family – the Gaetano. Crafted from stitch fuse technology, the lightweight sneaker is the most technically advanced of the line. Gram – Spring 2012 Collection
Kith has welcomed Stockholm-based Gram to the fold. The brand’s selection of high-quality footwear blends a clean Scandinavian aesthetic with the elements of a sneaker, featuring styles named after the weight of the shoe in grams. This Spring 2012 collection showcases the mid-cut 383G and high-top 420G, each carrying cupsole construction and an upper dressed with either full grain black leather or hand-punched natural leather, as well as the derby-like 488G in black micro mesh or natural full grain natural leather. All pairs have waxed rope laces and a leather toe cap. The collection is available now at Kith stores and online.

Viberg for WanderWonder – 2012 Oxford Shoe
Viberg have collaborated with Singaporean menswear brand WanderWonder on an oxford shoe, giving the silhouette a characteristic work-shoe inspired makeover. With a black/mocha Chromexcel leather upper and a Vibram ripple outer sole, the oxfords offer the sort of quality we’ve come to expect from all Viberg products and are limited to just 145 pairs.

UNDFTD x CONVERSE Jack Purcell Collection – Summer 2012
For the first time, the collaborative effort between retailer UNDFTD (UNDEFEATED) and CONVERSE will turn their attentions to the Jack Purcell silhouette. Part of the CONVERSE First String initiative, the UNDEFEATED for CONVERSE Jack Purcell Collection will invoked the same smart design, including the ubiquitous “smiling toe bumper” and foxing along the side. The alterations are subtle to keep them in bound with Jack Purcell’s classic looks, one that’s been around for over 75 years. Instead of navy, pinstripes are now in coordinating navy and red. Terry cloth lined the interior while UNDFTD “strikes” logo adorns the leather pull tab at the heel. Understated with a purpose, the collection comes in white, black, red, and retails for US$ 55 each. Unisex in sizing from size 3 to 13, availability starts this Friday, May 25th, exclusively through CONVERSE First String retail locations and UNDFTD stores.

Air Jordan AJKO QS – June 2012
Throw in the AJKO in the list of OG Air Jordans slated to hit in the next coming months, and although it’s very clear that these don’t have the appeal like, say, the Air Jordan IV or Air Jordan VII, don’t make the same mistake by passing on these like you did with the first AJKO Retro in 2010! Sneaker News filled you in on the upcoming QS release in the coming months, and for now, it appears that Asian retailers will indeed drop these in early June. Will U.S. retailers follow suit?
