Star Wars x adidas Originals El Dorado ‘Storm Trooper’ – Available
The Jeremy Scott and Star Wars collections have been two of adidas Originals biggest collaborations of the past couple years, and here’s one that treads the line between these two wild styles. The Star Wars x adidas Originals El Dorado is modeled after an AT-AT driver, its signature feature the tongue, where a velcro tongue tag allows you to attach or remove his helmet. There are tons of other little embellishments and a leather sockliner adds a premium touch, but are these the best of the spring 2011 Star Wars bunch? adidas Originals ZX 380 – Brown – February 2011
It’s been overshadowed by its ZX800 and 8000 brethren, but here’s a model from adidas Originals that can hold its own in the classic running category. The adidas Originals ZX 380 debuted in 1986 and its stripped down design is a reminder that running technology has improved by leaps and bounds over the last quarter century. These now simply appear to be a smooth running-inspired lifestyle sneaker and the suede construction with leather accents is a can’t miss. adidas Skate Silas – Cardinal – Running White
Silas Baxter-Neal joined adidas Skateboarding in September 2008 and was soon thereafter named Thrasher magazine’s Skater of the Year. Now in terms of accolades, that’s about as good as it gets this side of your own video game, but one look is all it takes to see his signature sneaker is still climbing. The adidas Silas looks better than ever in this Cardinal red suede getup with select white and gold accents. The black sole adds an aggressive finish and makes us wonder if this is the best Silas so far — even better than the Jason Vorhees edition? adidas Metro Attitude XXL
We’ve already seen adidas work its magic on basketball shoes, car-inspired shoes, and now it goes old school. Pictured here is a white with red and blue adidas Metro Attitude equipped with the chunky XXL tongue we’ve seen on most Jeremy Scott releases. RANSOM x adidas Originals Valley – Spring 2011 Collection
Already in its third season, the RANSOM x adidas Originals collaboration project is starting the year off with the release of the Spring 2011 collection. First to hit the shelves are the Valley models in the standard hi cut versions and the slimmed down low cut versions. The Valley takes inspiration from hiker boots and uses suede, smooth leather and patent leather on the uppers. Each style is strikingly different thanks to its varied colorway and material allocation. On the other hand, the Valley Low versions are constructed with smooth leather uppers and it transforms the casual sneaker silhouette into a premium footwear. Currently all of these sneakers are available at end clothing in UK.
adidas Porsche Design SP1 – Black/Black-Orange
Having worked hard to successfully make a name for itself in the basketball sneaker world, thanks to such creations as the adidas adiZero, it seems as though the brand is also poised to stake its claim in the car shoe game as well. The adidas Porsche Design SP1 follows after the first, TR1 model; and, it continues to place a huge emphasis on being sleek, elegant and yet casual. The black/black-orange adidas Porsche Design SP1 pictured here is due for a January release, so keep your eyes out for these to release at participating adidas retailers soon, including Eastbay.

adidas MEGA Torsion RSP II – White – Black – Air Force Blue
Packer Shoes brought us the first look at adidas Originals MEGA pack all the way back in the summer of ’10, and here’s a new colorway that’s perfect timing for our current spot in spring 2011. The adidas MEGA Torsion RSP II has that classic/now look thanks to a simple palette combining white, black and Air Force Blue with a little grey thrown in to soften the contrasts, but one look at the exaggerated Torsion Bar suspension on the bottom of these and you know they were created now as a sort of updated period piece. adidas adiPure – ‘All-Star’ – Sun – Black
adidas Basketball seems to have ended the TS line that unified their offerings over the past few years but that doesn’t mean we’re not still seeing similarities from model to model. Check out the new adidas adiPure, a shoe that to the uninitiated might appear to be a new colorway of Dwight Howard’s new Superbeast signature. That’s cos these feature the same SprintSkin breathable uppers and podular sole that mark D-12′s latest, but this black-on-yellow colorway is something that’d never show up at the new Amway Arena. In fact, you’ll get to check them out at the Staples Center during the All-Star game, where the adidas adiPure ‘Sun’ will be showcased. PASS THE BATON x adidas Originals – Then, Now and Forever Exhibition
PASS THE BATON is a new shopping concept in Tokyo that focuses on recycling products and acts as a catalyst to instigate the exchange of pre-loved items from one person to another. Like a virtual flea market, the shop asks creative individuals to put their unwanted products for sale and helps to curate them. Items ranging from clothing, furniture, gifts, accessories and so forth. Just a few months prior, A Bathing Ape’s own NIGO was invited to host his own section in store among other participators.
The store also runs a gallery, with the latest being “Then, Now and Future”, an exhibit in conjunction with adidas Originals. Around 70 creatives were chosen to exhibited their favorite sneakers with the three stripes. Notable names you may recognize include Yasumasa Yonehara (Cheki photographer), Hiroaki Shitano (WHIZ Limited), Daisuke Obana (N.Hollywood), Akeem The Dream (HECTIC/T19/Reserved Note) and Verbal (m-flo/TERIYAKI BOYZ) to name but a few. Be sure to drop by if you are in Tokyo and experience the cultural melting pot that is Pass The Baton. Check after the jump for some of the sneakers that will be on display and on sale.

adidas Originals Campus 80s ‘OT Tech’ – Fresh Lemon
We got our initial look at the latest Tokyo Tech Pack release from adidas Originals back in December and now the first colorway is ready to hit retailers. The adidas Originals Campus 80s OT Tech Pack comes in the colorway that has pervaded the pack, a panda-friendly mix of black, white and royal that looks great on this pair’s suede and canvas construction. The end result is a casual look that’d be right at home in Ann Arbor, but is sure to turn heads anywhere thanks to a reflective 3M treatment on the heel loop. Intel x adidas – adiVerse Virtual Footwear Wall
In conjunction with Intel, adidas has launched the adidas adiVerse Virtual Footwear Wall, a completely interactive virtual program that catalogs more than eight-thousand of adidas’ footwear retail products. To begin the adiVerse experience, a consumer can simply walk near the adiVerse Wall, and the program will determine your sex. From there, what you want to explore is up to you; adiVerse allows you to see all of adidas’ footwear, with 360-degree touch-screen viewing as well as product information and marketing content available for viewing. The multi-panel set-up is certainly a one-of-a-kind endeavor in the footwear market, and adidas aims to launch adiVerse sometime next year in England to align with the 2012 Olympic Games. If you think ‘adidas Originals silhouette’ and ‘oversized red bowtie’, you’d probably think of Jeremy Scott and his unique design capsule with the three stripes. Well, this adidas output isn’t from the hands of J. Scott, but carries the same amount of wow-factor. This Top Ten Hi Sleek for women featuress a glossy black patent leather upper (like a pair of shiny dress shoes to pair with a tux) with a red trim to match a A-list red-carpet premiere.
