Nike Air Max 97 – Metallic Silver – Mineral Blue

Nike Air Max 97 Metallic Silver Mineral Blue

Metallic Silver and the Air Max 97 go together like (cue Forrest Gump voice) peas and carrots. This new release spices it up by adding a mineral blue and black racing stripe on the upper for an interesting contrast that admittedly might be a tough to accept if you’re an Air Max purist. The true is, the added contrast does quite well for this colorway, and the tonal metallic silver with mineral blue Max Air adds another level of wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am. Check out the extra shots below and head to Kickscrew to cop a pair.

adidas Originals ZX 500 – Grey – Yellow – Blue | March 2011

Sneaker News just showed you a new ZX 8000 in a Hornets-style colorway, so what’s in store for the rest of adidas classic flagship running series?  Check out this new adidas Originals ZX 500, a tonal grey design whose bright yellow and blue accents suggest it’s aligned with a similar palette, though these are probably a better match for the current ballers in Oklahoma City than its temporary team.  And analogies aside, this trio plus white makes for a super-versatile look that would compliment basically any well thought-out combination of clothes you choose.  Click through to see more angles and pre-order yours today from CrookedTongues.

Reebok Dual Pump Runner Black/Red-Sky Blue

Reebok Dual Pump Runner Black/Red-Aqua

Last year, we witnessed multiple, stylish Reebok Dual Pump Runner releases such as the “Pyro Red” colorway. We have spotted another interesting Dual Pump Runner colorway that will hit retailers this spring. The black based Runner mixes suede and mesh for the predominance of the base and uses minimal sky blue accents on the side panel Pump logo, laces and a small section on the outsole. Also, red hints appear on the inner lining, heel branding and checkerboard-like design just above the midsole. View additional photos below.

In Retrospect: Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Grey/Marina Blue

Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Grey/Marina Blue

Nike Sportswear is set to release the highly-anticipated White/Black-Varsity Red Nike Air Griffey Max 1 this Saturday, February 26, 2011. Before we direct our total focus on that release, we would like to take you down memory lane with another sought-after colorway of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1. Around this time last year, Nike Sportswear released the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Grey/Marina Blue to select retailers nationwide. While many people hold the “Volt” and “Fresh Water” Griffey Max 1s above all, this colorway had a lot of sneaker enthusiasts scrambling to get their hands on these. The grey and marina blue color scheme was definitely a hit, and it showed up on many of Nike’s release shortly afterward.

Did you purchase the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Grey/Marina Blue , and was it worth the money you paid for it? If not, are you wishing you would have snagged this release last February? How does this particular colorway of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 compare to its predecessors and upcoming colorways of this signature model (“Fresh Water”, “Volt”, “Sport Red”)? Lastly, was this one of your favorite releases of 2010? Let us know your thoughts on the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Grey/Marina Blue in the comment section below!
