Spring/Summer 2012 sees the arrival of a new selection of Bernhard Willhelm x Camper boots. The boots, which come in an array of new colors, also utilize the ziz-zag soles we’ve seen before with past collaborations between the two brands. This season brings some solid patterns, including an orange camouflage that recalls a past offering. If older models are anything to go by, the hiking boots will retail in the $ 340 USD range, and will be found at finer boutiques worldwide.

Ovaida & Sons, the family run, New York based shoe company, presents their new hiking boot release. Made in Italy and featuring a Vibram Commando sole, these boots are available in two colorways: brown leather with red flannel ankle padding and a chocolate suede with navy flannel padding.
Those interested can pre-order after the relaunch of the Ovaida & Sons website.

In 2005, Red Wing Shoes celebrated its centennial anniversary by crafting a size 638 ½ D (US) boot which resides in their flagship Red Wing Shoe Store in Red Wing, Minnesota. Aside from being blown-up in scale, the World’s Largest Boot was built using the very same design and materials used to build a traditional Red Wing 877. Measuring 16 feet high and 20 feet long, the boot destroys the largest shoe previously made for someone by the American icon, a 22, by a mere 616.5 sizes. Ultimately, it took 1,200 feet of rope to sew it all together, 300 pounds of adhesive, and 80 cowhides to cover, but the boot serves as a testament to the craftsmanship and unmistakable quality of Red Wing footwear regardless of size. Here we get a detailed look at a very impressive collaborative effort between mastermind JAPAN and Visvim. Having collaborated in the past, this time around they decided to utilize one of visvim’s most coveted models, the 7-Hole ’73 boot. Revisiting the classic military style and colorway featuring the inside panel zipper, the 7-Hole takes on very discreet changes such as subtle co-branding and adding a custom Vibram outsole seen normally on the Visvim Serra Boot. Although the slight alterations dont set themselves too far apart from the originals, this makes for an exciting release for both brands. While there are no official dates on the release, it will be plenty hard obtaining them with only 30 pairs available.
