Nike Huarache Free Basketball – Wolf Grey
The only thing more comfortable than a Lunarlon sole is the Nike Huarache Free, seen here in Wolf Grey and Action Green. Not your average Huarache, these were done for the basketball crowd – featuring a sturdy high top construction and a slimline, padded inner lining. The mesh toe box and open side panels allow for maximum breathability, accented by a simple pop of color. If you want to pick these up, they are available now at select Nike retailers, such as Blends.

The last time the NBA suffered through a labor dispute-shortened regular season was also the last one that Kobe Bryant played through before becoming an NBA Champion. That might suggest good things for next year, but for an aging Lakers squad whose leader is currently nursing a shin injury, the time is now if Kobe wants to claim that sixth championship ring. But in order to get to the top, you’ve got to take your time and do things the right way, so while the Zoom Kobe 7 Elite will debut in just under two weeks. we can expect new colorways of the Nike Zoom Kobe VII throughout the rest of its now established December-to-December product cycle. This Concord-accented edition would make an ideal ‘Away’ look when Showtime hits the road; might we see these early on next year as LA defends its sixth Kobe-era chip? Stick with Sneaker News to find out these and more details, including this pair’s US release date. Photos: Washinsp

It’s not as widely known and loved as models like the 574 and 576 or even recent standouts like the 999, but maybe that’s because we just don’t see all that many New Balance 998 releases. This new pair of M998BDs comes in all suede and mesh like the original, its ‘Denim Blue’ nickname in the context of a relatively obscure silo one reminder that denim on kicks was even rarer just a decade ago. Perhaps we can take that as an indication of further expansion and even more new 998s from NB in the near future, so stay tuned to Sneaker News for updates and click through for additional images of this ‘Denim Blue’ M999BD just issued by New Balance.

Air Jordan 1 Phat – ‘White/Wolf Grey’
After many colors a little ‘strange, the Air Jordan 1 Phat returns this month with a new look ultraneutra white / gray.
The Air Jordan 1 Phat is an acquired taste, remixing the original design from 1986. Seen here in all White, the high top sneakers are constructed from tumbled leather, with Wolf Grey stitching seen throughout the seams. If you want to grab a pair of them, they are available now at Jumpman23 retailers.

Sneaker News’ recent look at the fall 2012 lineup of Dunk Highs from Nike Sportswear featured three styles across four different pairs, so while the Nike Dunk Low doesn’t have that many on display here today, this pair’s connection to one of the Highs suggests additional lowtops come Q3. The Lows we’re certain are on the way match the SB-like double-layer Swooshed grey and teal Highs and apply the same speckled print to the midsole of a grey-based, purple and red-accented design that comes off like a potential Toronto Raptors alternate jersey. Might you make them one of your go-to looks when they drop at NSW retailers next season? More images await your click below, and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for word on their US availability. With the MLB season in full swing, what better time for Nike’s Griffey line to get a beefing up in terms of the colorways available. Up next is this version of the Nike Air Max Griffey Fury, a bubbly redux of one of Junior’s original silhouettes, featuring a Hyperfuse shell and full-length Max Air. The sneaker we’re seeing here is perhaps the most toned down pair yet, skipping the bright treatment with the Dark Grey upper and opting for just a little bit of university red colorwise. Hit the jump to get a better look and cop this Nike Air Max Griffey Fury now at NSW accounts like Oneness, or get a pair right now on eBay.

The Nike Air Flight ’89 has come back strong in its 23rd anniversary year, this second grey-uppered release of 2012 reflecting both how popular that neutral shade is and how versatile this classic silhouette really can be. We got a considerably more energetic look out of grey nubuck when Neptune Blue and Action Green accented the Stealth edition, so especially by comparison, this new Cool Grey, Anthracite and white mix comes off as its primary color would suggest. This is another one of those highly wearable models you can make one of your spring/summer go-to looks and they’re available now at Finish Line.

While Penny Hardaway never played for the Chicago Bulls and his tenure with the Miami Heat lasted just a handful of games, we saw some great Retro colorway releases from the Air Penny line, like the Air Max Penny 1 that came out in a ‘Bulls’ get-up and the Air Penny II in the ‘Miami’ colorway. Here we have another Retro colorway of an Air Penny shoe that falls somewhere in the lineage of Black/Red releases – this White/Black/Wolf Grey/Red colorway of the Nike Air Flight One. You can expect this to hit NSW retailers this Holiday 2012 season with a MSRP of 0 alongside several other Air Flight One colorways already previewed on Sneaker News. Photo: TSG

The Nike Air Max Barkley has been a recent favorite amongst sneaker enthusiasts, probably because of the similarities it shares with its 90′s predecessor. The shoe is comparable to the Air Max2 CB 94, but it’s constructed with a Vac Tech base. Dressed with a pleasant “Stealth Grey” design, the pair can be purchased at Nike Sportswear retailers – including Finishline.

Resurrected after a (too?) long period in the Beaverton vaults, the Nike Air Tailwind is back for the first time in many years with a new crop of releases. Following up on the blue-accented OG Quickstrike comes this similarly simple yet satisfying Medium Grey and Action Red combo whose simple colorblocking is right at home in early 2012, but whose lines and materials let you know this is a classic even without the pre-yellowing from that VNTG QS drop. Click through to get a better look at this new drop of the first shoe ever cushioned by Frank Rudy’s revolutionary Nike Air cushion and grab yours from a Nike Sportswear stockist like Extra Butter.

The Nike Air Max Griffey Fury has been keeping a pretty good pace in 2012, with an almost one to one ratio between months in the year and colorways we’ve gotten our hands on so far. Looking to continue the trend is this pair that has a vaguely Jordan Brand feel to it what with the black/red combo, albeit the colored sectioning in question is university red rather than the standard varsity. Hit the jump with us to get a better look at this upcoming pair of Griffey hybrids and be on the lookout for the Nike Air Max Griffey Fury in dark grey/black/university red come May 3rd at Nikestore.

As we get better views of the upcoming Nike Air Force 180, we can see that Nike did its best to compromise the loss of the strap and pump by implementing some snazzy colorways and even some Glow In The Dark treatment seen on the Wolf Grey pair we showed you not long ago. Truth of the matter is that while we would’ve loved the OG stature of the Air Force 180 High, the Pump would be wildly impractical, so let’s enjoy the final product for what it is – a classic Nike Basketball model that reprises its role in a more convenient fashion. We’ve got another look at the Photo Blue colorway that we first caught a look at on Monday, so take a gander and cop this size 9 sample now from skit_japan on eBay.
