The Pure Purple/Turquoise Blue-White colorway is a tribute to LeBron childhood basketball team, even sporting a crowned hornet logo on the heel, and will be the final colorway of the LeBron 9 to hit retail before the release of the LeBron 9 Low and LeBron 9 Elite.

The SLH Nike LeBron 9 drops next Saturday, March 31, for 0 at Social Status and other select Nike Basketball retailers.

The Spring/Summer 2012 footwear arrives in two options of a grey suede and leather upper, as well as an olive/black colorway. Both shoes feature quilted side paneling, accented with an embroidered lightning bolt, tonal laces and Adam Kimmel signage on the top tongue.

Suede is so much a part of Nike Sportswear’s Vintage Blazer lineup that the majority of them have mentioned the nappy stuff in their official names right on the box. And while there’s a bit it on this new Nike Blazer High VNTG, expect no explicit mention, as the upper for this new tonal brown edition is primarily a canvas twill. These new images reveal a stronger contrast between those materials than previously indicated, this earthy range perhaps the single pair best suited to the pre-yellowed sole that we’ve seen to date. If you’ve been around since the year 1988, you’ve mostly likely seen or heard great stories about the famous horror movie “Child’s Play”. This timeless film and its sequels would go on to change the world’s perspective forever on what it meant to get the doll you’ve always wanted as a kid, all thanks to Chucky.

Custom sneaker designer, Diversitile has obviously enjoyed the film enough to create a second installment to his “Lets Play” sneaker collection with our latest look at the Nike Dunk High “Lets Play” 2. This sinister looking custom pays homage to the beloved Chucky character who stole our hearts over the year’s as it features denim panels reminiscent to the little guy’s overalls, multicolored sidepanels that resemble the shirt he wore, buttons, stitches, staples, and of course splattered blood to complete the look.

An aura of uncertainty and shakiness has felled on the sneaker community in light of the news of the shake-up of Nike’s action sports product lines. With Nike SB’s pro-models slated to shed the ‘SB’ distinction, the classic models like the Dunk will continue to its cult status in skateshops, and as long as Nike continues to put out sick colorways like this new Burgundy/Black High-top, the SB Dunk will live on forever regardless of what happens to ‘SB’ as a whole. Similar to last year’s ‘Plum’ release, the Burgundy/Black High features a burgundy suede upper but with leather panels and a black swoosh. Nike Dunk High Lets Play 2 Customs By Diversitile

The Child’s Play movie saga has played out in five volumes, gaining a cult following for the murderous Good Guys doll since the series first began in 1988, and believe it or not, a re-make of the original is in the works for the near future. The high demand for Chucky’s antics has led to sneaker customizer releasing another version of his popular ‘Child’s Play’ customs, putting forth a slightly altered version to commemorate a sequel; the ‘Let’s Play 2′ Customs features an orange outsole and interior (the first version was red), with two knives detailed on the outer toe-box (the first one has just one). These are up for sale on the Diversitile online store and should go fast as they are very limited in number and wildly popuar, so check out the Nike Dunk High ‘Let’s Play 2′ below and let us know what you think (batteries not included).

Following up yesterday’s preview of some upcoming Holiday 2012 releases from Nike Basketball comes a better look at the 2012 retro of David Robinson’s Air Force 180 High.

While returning in a look very close to that of the OG, those of you that remember the original ’90s release will notice that this update lacks the pump technology that was a hallmark of the original design. However, other than the lack of the pump and the larger lettering across the tongue, these appear pretty true to form.

The high top will return sans pump in the OG White/Black colorway worn by David Robinson and a Black/Purple makeup referencing Charles Barkley’s time with the Suns. Nike Air Force 180 High 2012 Retro

It came as something of a surprise given all the attention lavished on Penny Hardaway retros and hybrids in recent months, but judging from the comments on our preview of Nike Sportswear’s Holiday 2012 basketball offerings, Sneaker News readers are just as excited for the return of The Admiral as more Lil Penny.  David Robinson’s Nike Air Force 180 High from 1991 reminds us of the ad where Moses Malone is said to gift them to Mr. Robinson for the latter’s birthday, though these retro releases will come without the original pressure fit system as we suspeted from yesterday’s images.  Instead, we’ll get the OG colorup in what figures to be a much more affordable form, along with the new black edition pictured above that manages a strong throwback vibe thanks to intermingling purple and pink accents.  Check them out individually after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for release info.  via jshortt on NT
