In botany, brackens are a genus that contains several species of large ferns.  Notable for their large, highly-separated leaves, these plants seem to have absolutely nothing to do with Kazuki Kuarishi’s latest adidas Originals ObyO release.  The Kazuki x adidas Originals Bracken is a bracken by name alone, its aesthetics clearly drawing on things more urban than verdant.  You’ve got a moccassin toe chukka silhouette on top, not all too dissimilar to the oft-copied Clarks Originals Wallabee.  But that’s where the similarity ends, with these joints adding a distinctly athletic-inspired sole and a crazy diamond print on the upper that’ll set them apart from any Wallabees you might find out there.  Check out more shots after the jump and look for these at select adidas Originals retailers like Sole What?

The adidas Originals lineup consistently produces wildly innovative and satisfying designs, and one of their best capsules is designed by Japan’s Kazuki Kuarishi.  Kazuki’s latest ObyO release is this new duo of adidas Originals Creepers, a take on the classic creeper shoe design that’s been fused with the silhouette of a running sneaker.  These joints have a classy vibe, thanks to ultra plush suede on the forefoot contrasted by a white heel that reveals tartan plaid around the ankle.  Check out shots of chocolate brown and black pairs by clicking the jump below and look for these at select adidas Originals retailers soon.  via SF

Having your own adidas shoe design? Now that’s original. Here’s a look at the adidas ObyO KBall Low designed by Kazuki Kuraishi in a black leather and ostrich ski upper; featuring alternating panels of the two materials, the tonal black upper emanates a luxurious tone while maintaining the street-smart design motif. The KBall also features a thicker midsole – almost Air Force 1-like – and in this case, the all-white foundation matches perfectly with the rest of the shoe. Kazuki Kuraishi’s hand in the adidas Originals by Originals campaign has resulted in some great colorways that give even more life to adidas’ classic silhouettes, and the upcoming Fall/Winter 2010 releases justify why he’s one of the few selected for this collaboration. Coming soon to select adidas retailers are two new colorways of the adidas Campus 80 – one in a rich burgundy with black stripes on the lateral side and black/yellow/black alternating pattern on the medial side and a second pair in red white and blue. The third pair features the adidas Gipfel, a leather boot-like basketball shoe that features a mix of leather and suede on the upper and an aggressive outsole traction. The Kazuki x adidas ObyO Fall/Winter 2010 collection will be available this October so take a look at the detailed images after the jump.
