Sneaker customizers have gone ‘vigilante’ and taken matters into their own hands, creating dream colorways of shoes that otherwise would never see the light of day. Anything ‘South Beach’ is a potential banger for a LeBron shoe, and we’ve already seen Mache Customs take all three Miami-inspired flavors into his ‘Bringing Sand The The Beach’ project, but here’s a look at a true ‘Miami Vice’ custom done by C2 Customs; using the ‘Easter’ Low as the base, C2 mimicked the ‘Elite’ with the grey/black upper and led the shoe’s natural colorway do the rest of the work. Now looking at these customs, do you prefer these over those Silver/Pink/Teal Lows we showed you some time ago? More images of the custom work below, so take a gander and hit up C2 Customs to commission your own.

When will the South Beach/Miami vibe run out of steam? With the quick sell-out of the Floridians low and June 2nd’s South Beach Elite poised to be one of the best releases of the year, it looks like ‘South Beach‘ and all of its tangential colorways are staying put. Mache Customs put that idea to the test as he combined all three ‘Miami’ inspired LeBrons into this custom, as he used the LeBron 9 Low ‘Floridians’ as the base, the ‘Flamingo’ confetti on the rear, and the ‘South Beach’ at the forefoot of the shoe. Another unique touch is the alternating Swoosh colors – White with pink border on the lateral (Floridians) and Black on the medial (South Beach). Yet another custom banger from one of the best in the game, so check out the additional shots of the ‘Bringing Sand To The Beach’ Customs below and let us know what you think!

‘Miami Nights’ has become a household name in the sneaker game, even so much that Wale has a track on his recent ‘Ambition’ album with that same title. However, ‘Miami Nights’ leaked out far earlier than intended, as the confetti-blasted pair that inspired Mache Customs’ latest work is officially dubbed ‘Flamingo’ by Nike folks, but either name seems to fit the bill. Mache Customs adopts the same black confetti to the teal/pink upper to re-live ‘Flamingo/Miami Nights’ on the LeBron 9 Low, and as usual, his work is perfectly crafted – almost like it came straight from a Nike warehouse. A few shots of the Flamingo customs are right ahead, so click through and let us know what you think.

LeBron James celebrated his first MVP award similar to the way he celebrated his recent league-best honors. The man handed the heavy hardware made a double-double look like light work, dropping 34 points and 10 rebounds on the visiting Hawks. He did so in the commemorative colorway of the Nike Zoom LeBron VI. The “MVP” makeup proved to be a worthy wear for the endorser and a high profile release for fans.

Is Diana Taurasi the ‘LeBron James’ of the WNBA/women’s basketball? It’s hard to say that another version of LBJ exists in another sport (maybe Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals, although Cole Hamels might not think so), but Diana Taurasi was poised to change the WNBA and carry the torch with her legacy as a winner in UConn and has accomplished all that she can thus far, winning a WNBA Title and Finals MVP as well as earning a league MVP and a consistent flow of yearly accolades. Taurasi, however, has been doing her best LeBron impression on-court as her Player Exclusives of LeBrons have been one of the more hard-to-find collectibles, even for the most hardcore of LeBron hoarders. Her latest LeBron PE comes in Team USA colors, as she and her fellow American femme-ballers are touring around and playing exhibition games (USAB just dismantled China by the score of 100-62). More of Diana’s LeBrons after the jump! Photos: yahoo

Considering only 7 other players won the same title 3 times before, LeBron James joined the ranks of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Moses Malone on Saturday when the NBA honored him with the league’s most valuable player award for the 2011-12 regular season. To congratulate momentous occasion for the Miami Heat‘s forward, Nike created a special edition LeBron 9 outfitted with the Heat’s colorway of faded red and black. Accentuated with vibrant yellow and outlined with contrasting white, Nike also imprint silhouettes of the NBA MVP trophies for seasons 2008-09, 2009-10, and the current season of 2011-12. While currently one-of-one in availability, Nike will be releasing a select number of the edition starting next month at just a handful of retail locations worldwide. Stay tuned as more release information becomes available. Meanwhile, the Miami Heat leads the Indiana Packers 1 game to none in the conference semifinals of the NBA Playoffs.
Release Date: June 2012
