It’s been awhile since we’ve seen anything exciting from Etnies, and this season we’ll leave it up to you to decide. With their Spring Collection gracing the shelves of skate shops nationwide, the brand gives us a thorough look at what we can expect to see once the weather changes again.
With it being Winter, the boot-style Waysayer LX is brought back, as well as some of our favorite silhouettes – such as the Chaplin, Number Mid, Jameson 2 and Sheckler 6. Coming in a variety of colorways, you can expect to see the dope features that Etnies is known for, like the dual density RVA midsole and 400 NBS rubber outsole. Set for a return later this Summer in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Dream Team’s gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona is the Air Jordan 7 “Olympics” 2012.
Worn by MJ throughout those very Olympics, the White/Metallic Gold-Obsidian-True Red colorway stays true to the OG with a predominately white and silver leather upper, gold branding and additional hits of red and blue throughout.
Dropping on July 21 2012, you can grab a pair early via Kicksole.
Today brings another look at the 2012 retro of the White/Varsity Red-Black Air Jordan 4.

Also coming soon from Nike Sportswear and already available in Japan from mita is the Soft Grey/Light Bone-Medium Grey colorway of the Nike Air Epic VNTG.
Another quickstrike release from NSW, the ’80s runner pairs grey suede with matching mesh on the upper alongside white laces, a white leather Swoosh, matching heel tab, yellow midsole and distressed black rubber outsole.
The kicks are set to hit US Nike Sportswear spots soon.
The drop date for the Olympics-themed “Your Story” collection from adidas Consortium is less than 48 hours away. We’ve already profiled the Pro Shell by Muro, BC by Kate Moross, Matchplay by Jim Thompson and Decade Hi by Aloe Blacc. Rounding out the quintet of limited edition kicks is the ZX 500 as designed by renowned sneaker collector and Berlin native Quote. The nylon and suede construction of the shoe is in line with the runner’s 1980s origins, and the nicely understated blue and grey colorway is inspired by the Berlin Olympic Stadium. Olympic colors on the rubber outsole, plus “Quote” fist graphic on the inside of the tongue tag, complete the details. Look for the “Your Story” collection to land at select retailers May 19th.

The adidas Consortium “Your Story” collection continues its way to select retailers and it is bringing along with it Aloe Blacc‘s take on the Decade Hi. We already previewed J. Thompson, Kate Moross, and DJ Muro‘s contributions, but the rapper/trendsetter from LA chose to go with the 1984 basketball classic drapped a premium ox blood-collored leather, which is reminicent of the African soil while the icy sole represents the barefeet of Ethiopian gold medalist and marathoner Abebe Bikila. The personal branding on the inside of the tan leather tongue and footbed finish off the look. These kicks are slated to land at select retailers on May 19th.

In addition to the detailed shots of DJ Muro’s Pro Shell we posted today, shots of Jim Thompson’s contribution to the adidas Consortium “Your Story” campaign are also out to amp up the energy ahead of their Saturday release. The designer from Sydney’s Three Over One transforms the classic Matchplay silhouette to give it an uncomplicated, but vintage look inspired by kicks from adidas’ Track & Field archives. Featuring a black waxed leather upper and a matching pigskin suede toe-box, Thompson’s decision to leave out the inner-line gives this shoe a hand-made feel. A distressed white rubber midsole that matches the branding on the ankle enhance the old-school personality of this sneaker. Three Over One branding finishes off the look under the Tri-Foil tag on the tongue. Look for these and other pieces of the adidas Consortium collection at select retailers beginning Saturday, May 19th.

Here’s a detailed look at one of the sneaker styles from the quintet of kicks that make up the upcoming “Your Story” collection from the Consortium imprint of adidas Originals. These BCs come courtesy of Kate Moross, a filmmaker, designer and illustrator from London, whose choice to go the minimalist route works well with the simple lines of the shoe. This BC (formerly known as the Baltic Cup and originally intended for used on handball courts) carries a tonal suede upper adorned with a subtle geometric pattern and flecks of color throughout, providing a welcome contrast to the neutral background. The kicks are slated to land at select retailers on May 19th.

The adidas Originals’ “Your Story” Collection that we have been previewing over the last couple of weeks is teeing up for their May 19 releases. We begin our a series of detailed looks with what DJ Muro’s describes as an “aggressive” version of the Pro Shell silhouette, with strong, deep colors, including dark green and black with pops of red accents on the tongue and heel. DJ Muro used a mix of suede and jersey material with engineered stripes reminiscent of the partial cut-off track top and a his skull and crossbones logo fitting of this shoe’s tough look. The look is topped off with a velcro strap and “Keep on Diggin’” laces. For those who wants to view the design in person, Muro’s kick will be available at select retailers beginning Saturday, May 19th.

After dropping a teaser image back in April, Vans now presents a complete look at their upcoming Fall 2012 Van Doren Collection.
Featuring the Sk8-Hi, Era and Slip-On, each silhouette comes with original “Van Doren” heel tab branding while the kicks come draped in stonewashed canvas uppers decked out in graphic prints from the brand’s archives.
Look for the collection to land at retailers in late Summer/early Fall.

With the Reebok Question Mid returning later this month, we have a detailed look at the 2012 retro of this mid-top 1996 Allen Iverson signature.
Ditching the red nubuck of past releases in favor of red leather, the kicks don a white tumbled leather upper atop an icy outsole with hits of red on the branding, eyelets, toe and heel.
Dropping at R23 accounts on May 25, you’ll be able to find the White/Pearlized Red version of the Reebok Question Mid at spots like Miami’s Mr. R Sports.
