Like last year’s ‘South Beach’ LeBron 8s, the LeBron 9 ‘Cannon’ (deemed this year’s Pre-Heat release by Nike) has seen a funky release schedule. After an initial release in Miami, the Cannons were slated for a late November release, then were subsequently pushed back to December 2nd. Some retailers release the shoe on Veteran’s Day (the Cannon was military-inspired). So some of you likely copped early in Miami, copped early because you got lucky, or are waiting eagerly for tomorrow’s release. The LeBron 9 Cannon is definitely one of the must-haves for the Holiday 2011 season, so don’t miss out! These will be somewhat limited in stock so be sure to hit your local Nike Basketball retailer tomorrow, or guarantee yourself a set by copping a pair on eBay.

Now that the NBA is back on track, you can bet that the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 Supreme will be showing up on a fair number of feet for the 66 game season. This quick re-introduction of the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 brings a more intricate design on the layered upper, with a gridded geometric pattern popping up on the lower half of the sneaker. The colorways we’ve seen so far have went with a tonal look and this one maintains that theme, pairing a range of oranges for one of the brightest Hyperfuse joints we’ve seen yet. Check out the detailed images we’ve got for you after the jump and scoop these up now at Eastbay.

Throughout the year we’ve seen the Nike Dunk High VT pop up again and again, applying the seamless air-tight look across a range of textures and colors. The latest permutation, the Nike Dunk High AC VT, scales the look back a bit, mixing up the vac-tech look with a more traditional Dunk upper and of course the namesake autoclaved sole. The two versions of the Nike Dunk High AC VT we’ve seen so far have stuck to a pretty unified palette, but this one breaks the mold with a blazing orange Swoosh across the side of the sneaker. Follow us after the jump for a more complete look and be on the lookout for this colorway from Nike Sportswear retailers like Titolo.

There are a few colorways we overwhelmingly associate to specific teams like ‘bred’ with the Chicago Bulls, or black and yellow with any of the Pittsburgh teams. And on the collegiage side of things, few universities can rival the sheer novelty of the maroon and orange combo found pretty much every where you look in southwestern Virginia’s New River Valley. The Virginia Tech Hokies, then, are an obvious connection to this newly revealed Nike SB Team Edition 2, a model whose trendy dress shoe styling cues remind us that VT has been going after a relatively small piece of the color wheel long before tonal sneaker releases were the flavor de jour. Click through for more including the gum outsole and stick with Sneaker News for updates on this April 2011 drop and all the rest of the upcoming Nike SB release dates. via N-SB

VacTech treatment has taken Nike Sportswear by storm, this time appearing on the auto-claved version of the Nike Dunk High. One unique aspect of VacTech treatment is that it gives a shoe a seamless, stitch-free appeal, which is precisely why tonal colorways have gone hand-in-hand with these releases. The Max Orange seen here only accentuates that smoothed-out appearance, but take a look at the rear heel panel and you’ll see that it isn’t molded in with the VT upper, but instead uses tumbled leather. Euro-retailer Asphalt Gold has these in stock right now so check out the images below and keep an eye out for these at select Nike Sportswear retailers soon.

The Nike Air Max 90 VT hits retailers in yet another eye-grabbing colorway this fall. This pair, to the unsuspecting eye, looks very similar to the Nike Air Max 90 VT “Black Suede” but upon closer inspection, features slight differences. Some of the most noticeable differences include a lighter shade of grey on the suede upper as well as a bright orange outsole that can only be seen when being worn. This hit of max orange also makes its way onto the tongue branding for a look that both noticeable yet subtle. Check out more images below and let us know if this is a must-cop for you.

Halloween in mid-November? Anything’s possible at Foot Locker’s House of Hoops, where a concept catering to hardcore basketball fans and sneakerheads has now expanded to most of the largest US cities. The latest HoH exclusive will have you remembering all the fun you had dressing up in costumes in late October, this new black and Max Orange Nike Zoom Rookie about as close as the Air Penny super-hybrid can get to a jack-o-lantern. They’ll light up the morning as malls across the country open when “Kicksmas comes early” to all House of Hoops locations right around the time the early bird lap-walking crew calls it a day.

The latest retro running release from Nike Sportswear’s Air Max legacy looks like it could have dropped last month with a jack-o-lantern hangtag, which means it also bears a strong reemblance to another pair of Nike Air Max 95s that had already earned the ‘Halloween’ nickname. But a closer look at this new pair reveals that not only is the shade of orange on this pair more of a tangerine whereas the earlier joints were bold like a Team Orange, but also that the eyelet striping is slightly different as well. That means more sneakerheads will have a chance to get their hands on another orange-accented Air Max 95s when these release in mid-December; how do they rank agianst the ‘Halloween’ and ‘Mandarin Orange’ pairs from earlier this year?
