adidas Originals Jeremy Scott – JS MEGA Flex Gladiator Sandals
Friends, Romans, Countrymen, there is no need to spill blood on the cobblestone streets of SoHo, New York as designer Jeremy Scott introduces the newest addition to his own adidas Originals line, the JS MEGA Flex Gladiator Sandals. Created with the modern day warriors in mind, Scott re-tuned the classic gladiator sandals in premium leather and brass d-ring eyelets. Then, the crucial alteration, the addition of adidas MEGA Flex outsole held together by the TORSION System at midfoot to incur a natural flexing of the foot. While originally meant for men only, the smaller sizing is perfectly suitable for women as well, all are available now at select adidas Originals retail locations and its online store.
adidas Originals – Spring/Summer 2012 – April Men’s Highlights
The Spring/Summer 2012 range from adidas Originals features key items for April in the form of the Adi Pique Polo and the Court Deck Vulc Mid. The adidas Originals version of the classic pique polo is crafted from 100% cotton that’s been enzyme washed for a comfortable lived-in feel with the very first wear. It has classic styling with a ribbed collar and two-button placket, and comes in a range of season-appropriate pastel colors. The tops are complemented by the Court Deck Vulc Mid, an attractive boat and court shoe hybrid that carries an upper dressed with a pinstriped canvas upper. adidas Originals ZX 500 – Super Green – Light Scarlett
The last few adidas Originals ZX 500 releases have offered simple colorways in step with this season’s dominant trend, which means this latest edition stands out from the pack quite a bit. They’re nowhere near as crazy as some of Three Stripes mid-’00s output or the current smash hit Jeremy Scott collabo, but this ZX500 in Super Green and Light Scarlett is most certainly an eye-grabber. They’re reminiscent of a standout Nike Air Max+ 2012 with this carefully un-Christmas-y combination of green and red, and hopefully indicate more curious palettes to come. Even with adidas Originals setting the pace in several lifestyle categories and duckboots enjoying their most popular stretch in decades, Three Stripes has managed to steer almost entirely clear of the time-tested rain-ready look. The obscure Tsumo Pu heel-zip popped up to fill the void just before the turn of the year, but its name was apparently lost in translation as was their connection to the adidas archives. But adi-devotees will no doubt recognize the dimpled sole from the cult classic Trimm Trab soccer shoe, here utilized as part of the adidas Originals DMD Trabb hightop. This model’s suede mudguard lets you know right off the bat this is a style over function choice, a role in which they truly excel. The word “clean” can have a variety of meanings, but as applied to the Clean Pack of Superstar 80s from adidas Originals, the term denotes a spartan design, free of clutter and extraneous details. Even the brand’s signature three stripes have been stricken from the suede upper, resulting in simple, elegant lines that emphasize the two-piece construction of the updated classic. Clarks Originals x Southsea Deckchairs – Desert Boots
These upcoming months are all about having fun and footwear label, Clarks, seems to take that literally by creating a fun version of their iconic desert boot shoe. For this piece, they collaborated with traditional deckchair manufacturer, Southsea Deckchairs, and created this unique canvas silhouette consisting of red/navy/white pattern, which are often used for deckchairs. In addition, a crepe sole and welt stitching completes the overall construction.

adidas Originals Tobacco – Archive Pack – Spring 2012
First released in 1978, the Tobacco is breathing new life as part of the adidas Originals adi Archive range. The shoe features a low-profile silhouette and sleek lines reminiscent of its Samba and Gazelle brethren, and is dressed with a mossy suede upper in a unique light brown hue. Brown nubuck accents are used at the signature stripes and heel tab, while smooth brown leather lines the interior. Tonal laces and rubber gum sole, plus discreet branding at the tongue, finish the look. The adidas Originals Tobacco is available now at Tokyo-based mita sneakers.
