At first glance, these sneakers look the same as any other Suede Classic models out in the market, however these kicks are made with Eco-friendly recycled materials on the uppers. This means that no animal was harmed in the process and furthermore, it is a great ecological step forward for PUMA fans. Since its debut in early 2009, the Nike Blazer High VNTG has followed a simple recipe: start with slightly distressed suede to the upper, add Sail on the laces, unfinished tongue, heel tab, Swoosh and sole, then apply a slight yellowing to the last of those parts to achieve a pre-oxidized look. It’s a can’t-miss combination that can be replicated across a huge range of earthy and otherwise rustic shades, so what happens when Nike Sportswear makes a subtle shift and changes one fo these key components? If anything, the new Vintage Blazers are even better now with the classic rough-around-the-edges tongue now coming in a tonal nylon compliment to the suede shade, this new Gorge Green edition a sign of good things to come that’s available now at select NSW retailers like Wish.

Puma has enjoyed a particularly strong year for a couple of its classics, thanks to some key collaborations and an overall commitment to quality that keeps these six-decade veterans relevant. The Puma Suede Classic Eco comes in a well-named colorway that combines Chili Pepper red suede with a Forever Blue Formstripe. The former fairly accurately denotes the caliente appeal of this pair’s bold, velvety upper, while the latter is a reminder that this silhouette will be around as long as there’s leather with a shaggy nap. Veja sure know how to add a touch of sophistication to a high top sneaker. At a first glance, this pair doesn’t even appear to resemble a classic high top at all. Since your eyes are instantly drawn to the camel suede colour, you literally have to do a double-take to see that they’re not in fact a boot but a sneaker. Earlier, we got a preview of the Adam Kimmel – High Top Sneakers Spring/Summer 2012, this time the fashion designer gives us another look with a new pair of shoes come Spring 2012. Shown is a range of suede lace-up shoes in clean solid tonal colorways. They will be available in either low top or mid top form with leather mid soles and gum outer soles. A very simple yet casual look for an everyday shoe.

For years, Nike has seemed content to sit back and let adidas dominate the indoor soccer shoe market, but perhaps as Three Stripes looks to expand and give the Swoosh a run for its money in basketball and elsewhere, it’s time to reevaluate what Beaverton can do for short-sided football. The Nike Street Gatois a great start to what could be a formidable line of footy shoes, and is starting to show what it can do in a variety of colorways. Coming up for early next year is this blue suede edition that maximizes the casual appeal of this design without watering down its technological advantages. Santoni’s unusual approach to shoe designs has earned him an unofficial spot as one of the greats of his profession. These chocolate brown suede loafers are just one example of his eye for detail. Each pair contains 600 stitches, all stitched by hand. They also feature a leather sole and a partially rubberized heel. Made in Italy.

With every sneaker brand out there excavating their archives to allow for a wider variety of available models than at any point in history, there are plenty of competitors in the market space occupied by the Puma Suede. But when the German Cat applies a premium coating of its namesake material, this classic basketball shoe is indeed hard to beat.
