The Air Jordan 1 “Court Purple” Hits Stores This Fall

Jordan Brand has clearly hit on a winning formula with its recent run of Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG releases. The basic concept: offer variations on the original Black Toe colorway by applying a contrasting hue to the otherwise neutral black and white palette. One such example is this upcoming pair in Court Purple, which is essentially a retread of the Air Jordan 1 “Bred Toe” from early this year, featuring purple paneling instead of red. Word on the street is these will arrive on store shelves in September. Stay tuned for exact release details.

Supreme and Vans Release New Collection This Week

Supreme and Vans continue their long-standing partnership with a budding collaborative release for spring/summer 2018. Although giving very little notice of the impending release, tomorrow marks a new offering with two largely under utilized Vans silhouettes.

Working with the Lampin and Sk8-Mid, a juxtaposition of croc-embossed suede and corduroy cleverly canvas each style. Supreme branding in an Old English font marks both styles while Vans representation appears in customary position.

This material rich Supreme x Vans collection is set to release tomorrow, June 21, at New York, Los Angeles, London and Paris stores and online. A Japan release will follow on June 23.

Air Jordan 1 “Court Purple” Expected This Summer

More “Black Toe” inspired Air Jordan 1s are expected throughout the remainder of 2018. There is, of course, the “Pine Green” edition that continues to generate vast amounts of hype. Its “Court Purple” companion comes into clearer view today after photoshop renderings of the shoe surfaced earlier this spring.

Colored in a Court Purple/Sail-Black palette, premium tumbled leather canvasses the classic silhouette which is expected to release late this summer. From a different aesthetic direction, it’s also anticipated that the “Metallic Purple” Air Jordan 1 will release this year as well, falling in line with blue and red iterations from the famed Metallic Series.

Take a first look at the Air Jordan 1 “Court Purple” below and expect a release this September. Jordan Brand has not yet confirmed release details.

The Virgil Abloh x Air Jordan 1 “UNC” Returns This Month

Image via: Nike

Image via: Nike

Late last month, Nike released Virgil Abloh’s UNC-themed Air Jordan 1 to an unsuspecting public, as the shoe popped up on the Nike SNKRS app with absolutely no warning on May 23rd. This month finds the Powder Blue kicks receiving a more traditional launch, with the deconstructed high-top scheduled to hit select Jordan Brand retailers on June 19th. Retail is set at 0. This model is rumored to be the least limited of Virgil’s Air Jordan 1 collaborations — versus the original Chicago and European-exclusive all-white colorways — but you’re still facing an uphill battle if you want to obtain a pair. Good luck!

Eric Emanuel’s adidas Crazy BYW Collaboration Drops This Week in NYC

The short lifespan of the newly released adidas Crazy BYW has been best seen through the lens of Los Angeles concept brand Bristol Studio. Their rendition of the Boost You Wear silhouette this February masterfully showcased the shoes versatility, both playing on its ability as a lifestyle wear and the shoes concrete foundation as a performance enhancer.

It was, by all estimations, the first of many collaborations adidas has planned for the modern Feet You Wear overhaul. What follows today is a budding execution from designer Eric Emanuel, approaching the shoe from a similar material focus as Bristol yet igniting the adoring canvas through his own sentimentality.

Emanuel’s creation is vastly more color driven. He employs a heavy coat of Oxblood throughout the body while infusing pops of yellow and pink. A juxtaposition of premium leather and suede harkens back to vintage basketball sneakers. Some of which were heavy but focused on materials that aided in durability and craftsmanship. No excess weight here, though, as the Crazy BYW is a lightweight style enhanced by the feather weight Boost cushioning for stabilization and energy return.

Eric Emanuel is hosting a pop-up shop in New York City that opens today, for which this shoe is said to be available tomorrow, June 15. The shop is located at 161 Grand St.

A wider release for the Eric Emanuel x adidas Crazy BYW is not been detailed.

Nike Air Max 98 Black/Anthracite Drops This Week

Although original colorways of the Air Max 98 have reigned over all others since its re-emergence in celebration of 20 years, new inline options are also of great importance.

This Black/Anthracite pair doesn’t quite register as triple black, yet the darkened sentiment seamlessly joins multiple textiles and smoky grey accents that blend to perfection. White midsole tooling breaks the noir monopoly throughout while the Air Max 97 inspired full-length Air Unit maintains comfort and generational aesthetic pleasure.

Look for the Nike Air Max 98 Black/Anthracite on June 15 for 4 at Nike SNKRS.

Every Sneaker Worn by LeBron James This Season

Athlete, activist and Akron’s own, LeBron James had one hell of a season on the basketball court as well as off of it.

On the hardwood, the leading man for the league, Cleveland Cavaliers and Nike Basketball proved best in show to most fans and NBA experts, playing in all 82 games of the season and making the NBA Finals for what now seems like clockwork.

A comeback of sorts, the Nike LeBron 15 proved the King’s most interesting signature shoe in years, upping the ante on tech with BattleKnit construction while creating a chase with the #LeBronWatch PE program.

From ACG referencing renditions of his own PE to the Soldier style he’d dub with the “Injection Game” nickname, see all of King James’ Kicks on Court from the 2017-18 season.

Playstation x Nike Air Force 1 Low 2018 Reported to Release This Week

Later today it’s reported that a budding Playstation x Nike Air Force 1 Low design will release in conjunction with the start of the 2018 E3 gaming convention. The convention, which takes place in Los Angeles from June 12-14, is said to prompt the Nike SNKRS Stash release later today. At current moment, no such luck.

To backtrack, hype surrounding this release hit fever pitch when the model debuted at the Drew League — which also takes place in Los Angeles. A differing iteration from the patent leather centric pairs released in the 2000s, this one features traditional leather construction with a large jewel Swoosh emboldened at the paneling. The shoe’s heel is dressed in the Playstation logo and foundational branding to the gaming console.

At present time official release date/time for the Playstation x Nike Air Force 1 Low remain unknown. Stay tuned for more.

Nike Air Max Deluxe Returns This Summer

After a lengthy wait that travels back before the turn of the century, Nike has finally saw fit to retro the beloved Air Max Deluxe.

Originally released back in 1999, Nike’s returning the impactful silhouette as you would expect in OG form. Set to release the blue, grey, orange and black original later this summer, the shoe recently returned to fame when Skepta sought another OG colorway for inspiration to outfit his SK Airs. To that end, Skepta is also said to release a collaborative Air Max Deluxe sometime in July.

As for the inline Nike Air Max Deluxe OG mentioned here, pairs are said to release on July 12. Nike has not yet confirmed.
