The popularity of the Nike Air Force 1 ‘Workboot’ releases that debuted in the Spring 2010 season was expected; the Air Force 1, while originally a basketball shoe, had that bulk and size that made it rockable as a pair of winter boots – just keep your vision feet-level during the cold months in NYC and you’ll see quite a number of AF1s trudging around town. The leather uppers and roped work-boot laces gave those Air Force 1 Workboot releases that cool cross-over flair, but sneaker customizer Wolfstein re-imagined the Workboot Force 1 by creating a pair of Lows inspired by one of his favorites – the Red Wing 8166. He took advantage of the boot leather options on Nike iD and selected the Pecan leather with a solid Sail outsole, and put on the finishing touch with the workboot laces, the Red Wing hangtag, and the custom Red Wing insoles. The Munson Boot was inspired by the rugged design of infantry boots and how they were made out of Munson lasts, allowing them to withstand constant wear and tear for decades.

The Munson Boot is available in two colors – Light Brown Hawthorne Muleskinner and Dark Chocolate Muleskinner – both featured with army green Harris tweed lining and deep green leather shoelaces and eyelets.

Collaboration projects with Tricker’s are very common now a days, from brands to boutiques lining up to work with the traditional British shoe manufacturer. However, Japanese streetwear giant SWAGGER is venturing into an off beat route with their project. The selection of a 7 hole wing tip boot style does not come as a surprise, though the details on these boots are quiet unique. First and foremost, visual impact is created by a bandanna that wraps around the ankle portion of the boots. Furthermore, an eye catching red boot is included amongst the trio of boots made up of classic black and navy pairs. Last but definitely not the least, the usually smooth leather soles have been embossed with a custom designed pattern.

UK select store end clothing is unveiling a series of high caliber collaboration projects under the moniker, End Hunting Co.. Their premier products come courtesy of master shoe maker Tricker’s. The team dug deep into the archives to select the Long Wing Country Brogue model to use as a base. Two pairs were designed with minor changes to the popular silhouette. A combination of full grain and waxed calf-leather materials construct the premium shoes, available in black or brown tones. Details such as the Dainite soles and canvas heel pull improve functionality of the footwear. Last but not the least, an asymmetric brass top eyelet adds personality to the shoes.
