This weekend was huge in shaking out the NBA Playoff picture and featured dominant performances from some of the game’s elite. Key among those was Kevin Durant’s effort in Los Angeles on Saturday night, which has the Thunder on the verge of the Western Conference Finals after another comeback victory over Kobe’s cracking Lakers. Durant noted in his ‘Sunday Conversation’ with ESPN that the road to coldheartedly crushing and staring down the crowd at Staples Center was one he nearly quit in the face of tremendous adversity, and it’s that kind of passion and tenacity that defines this colorway of his fourth Nike Basketball signature. The Nike N7 Zoom KD IV is a symbol to native peoples in Oklahoma and all across North America that Nike is committed to putting their best products behind this initiative designed to promote active sporting lifestyles in this continent’s aboriginal communities. Down 2-0, but the Series shifts back to Los Angeles. Laker nation, does Kobe have what it takes to lead his team to a comeback and possibly tie the series in the next two games? Game 3 tips off tonight at the Staples Center, so hopefully a win will have you back on the Kobe VII wagon as the Concord/Cool Grey drops tomorrow at Nike Basketball retailers. There are still a few more Kobe VIIs to go, like the Blue/Red Poison Dart Frog, the ‘What The Kobe’, and the wild ‘Leopard’ joints, but if you like the more subdued, team-based colorways, these are the perfect selection for casual basketball. Hit up your local Nike Basketball retailer tomorrow, or cop a pair right now from yellownsxt on eBay.

Kobe will need to bounce back against the Thunder for Game 2 if he wants to keep this series competitive because thus far, the Thunder have the Lakers outmatched in almost every category. But don’t underestimate the Black Mamba, who has demonstrated a killer instinct and can become one of the most unstoppable forces from time to time. Kobe’s been bouncing back and forth between the Kobe VII Supreme and the higher-grade Elite in the Playoffs, but perhaps he’ll go with this Saturday’s release of the Concord/Cool Grey to mix it up a bit. The Lakers are indeed in dire need for some change, so hopefully a wardrobe change is all Kobe needed to get a different outlook on the game. More of this colorway below, so take a look and expect them this Saturday at Nike Basketball retailers like Social Status or right now on eBay.

The iconic Bruin basketball silhouette has been co-opted by Nike Sportswear, but let’s not forget which Swoosh division initially resurrected this 1972 classic. Its timeless lines have aged well in forty years of service, but we’re still waiting for a ruby anniversary colorway, as this new Nike SB Zoom Bruin goes in the opposite direction, opting for a nearly ‘blank’ appearance where a grey leather Swoosh tops Swan suede–exactly the kind of thing you need to round out your summertime sneaker rotation. The SB-exclusive Zoom Air-embedded insoles make these an extra comfy ride with super boardfeel thanks to a traditional vulc sole, and they’re available now at a store whose name describes their own status within the Mitten: Premier.

Anything bearing the name of super-skater Eric Koston should be firmly rooted in the Nike SB realm right? Well not exactly, as a handful of sigs are being pulled up from that sub-categorization and wiped of their SB branding, this particular model being one of them. Not that the Nike Zoom Koston 1 needs any fancy logo hits to make it stand out, as in this case a beautifully pure white upper and a classic gum sole do the trick just fine. Click through for the full angles and let us know in the comments how you feel about the reorganizing of the Nike SB range, also make sure to hit up the team at Premier to grab this Nike Zoom Eric Koston now.

Sneaker News just showed you a raging red colorway that’s coming up soon and now here comes the other Nike Zoom Solider 6 colorup we’d previewed in Monday’s first look. The Zoom Soldier VI looks so good in this combination of silver, black and blue that, judging by the earliest comments, might have those traditionally inclined to the Nike LeBron flagship series, to consider adding these to your rotation as well. They’ve got performance advantages from a Hyperfuse upper, Zoom Air-cushioned sole and the Soldier series’ signature robust ankle lockdown system, and you can see more details when you click on the jump below. While P-Rod is undoubtedly the resident Michael Jordan fanboy amongst the Nike SB team riders, there’s no doubt that the rest of them are familiar with his legacy both on-court and on-feet. Perhaps hinting at that is this new colorway of the Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid (notice the Nike SB nomenclature getting left in the dust), with a black and red pairing that may not be of the varsity persuasion but feels a little MJ nonetheless. If you like what you see above then stick around after the jump to get a better look at this new release, which can be found now at the likes of MIA Skate Shop and other fine retailers.
